Just printed, no supports, and all stock settings on Ender 3. Really slick design! Thanks for the picture you sent to Fives' Workshop! That helped me figure out where pry the locking mechanism. My kid is gonna love this!

Printed nicely considering I'm a complete beginner. No issue with the lock or hinges getting stuck, really fun print!

At first I printed it with my standard, faster K1 settings but I had issues loosening the z-seams, resulting in chest crash. I lowered outer wall amount from 3 to 2 and it worked flawlessly with no force at all. Great make!

killer design, Was a pain to seperate the latch, Might be easier if there is a way to print the lock half locked as it would give more points to shimmy and wiggle it free!

Opinion on supports for this print?

I designed it to not need any supports!

Print came out looking Great but can’t pry open any of the locking mechanism, even destroyed the box in an attempt to open it and it’s still sealed together, is there an easier print option with a loose locking mechanism available?

You can try adjusting the X/Y compensation or less flow so they parts don't fuse.

Is there any way you could post pictures? I cannot for the life of my understand your instructions on how to get the lock working. I am super impressed with the print, but I had to break the latch apart to try and understand what your instrcutions meant.

This is the main thing; just pry from the closed end. You can also carefully pry along the gaps on the long sides of the latch to loosen it.

I printed the chest, but I can't get the piece to separate. They are really stuck. Any suggestions other than the ones you already mentioned?

You can also try carefully prying around the holes where the lid prongs should enter. But don't try to push the latch through those holes, you'll most likely break it... If it doesn't help, you might need to print again with just a bit of negative x-y-compensation.
