I printed a similar model to this one yesterday and put pen springs in it, while it does work it could be better. The BBs don't go very far with just pen springs.
Both barrels in the fixed version have a chamfer where the shells go. Even if you've printed the old version, it shouldn't affect functionality, it's just cosmetic in most cases.
Hello. This is a great design, however, I am having trouble to place the Barrel Latch. I have tried to thin out the piece, but it broke.
Could you give me some tips to fix this problem?
I use a fine nail file to carefully sand parts — especially parts with flat areas like the latch — whenever I have fitting issues! You could also try tweaking the flow and — if applicable — the K-value of input shaping in your printer for the filament you're using, so the part will be more precise in dimensions.

can you use pen springs for it?

You can try, but they might be a bit too weak.
DOUBLE THEM UP!!! (maybe, don't trust me)
the video is down
It seems to work, at least for me. 🤔
Awesome model, thanks for posting. The "barrels" stl seems to be missing a chamfer on the right barrel where the shell inserts.
Thank you so much for letting me know about the missing chamfer! I've fixed it now! Fusion 360 being Fusion 360...
I was about to start assembling and imprinted last night. How can I tell if my barrel is fixed?

BOOM BOOM
This is my boomstick!
Please make the shotgun single barreled
it was great :) but it gave me a little trouble with the assembly the bullets and the mechanism worked fine but the rest was tuff. overall 3.5 stars
where is video to assemble
When I printed this it did not print the small pin that holds the forearm on.
Use a piece of 1.75mm filament as the pin.
What a antique peice ever. Thanks for such a good pieces ever.
do you think this'll work with a resin 3D printer?
I don't see why not! But I also have no experience with resin printing so I can't say for sure... 😅
ah don't worry, it works perfectly fine. all ya need it a few more supports, otherwise it'll warp in the barrels and occasionally on the shells
what types of springs and screws should I use for the loading mechanism?
M3 bolts at least 8-10mm long and 5mm diameter springs 20-25mm long.
