This could be the smallest 3D-printed flywheel Nerf blaster ever made. Despite its compact size, it still packs enough power to launch half-length foam darts with impressive performance.
To maintain the compact design, I decided to remove the internal battery and use an external 12V power supply instead. In the future, I might switch to an external battery pack to make the Nerf blaster portable.
The Nerf blaster is simple to print and assembles effortlessly with just a few screws and two rubber bands. I designed the body to remain open, showcasing the rack-and-pinion mechanism. As a mechanical engineer, I think this design choice gives the blaster a cool and distinctive appearance.
