About me
Hi there 😊 I am Johannes, an industrial designer from Germany. I try to re-imagine everyday items in a more practical, fun or nature-inspired way so you can craft cool stuff that you or others might need.
I have been doing this full time for 4+ years and accumulated a catalog of 150+ designs.
I have several ongoing topics of which the biggest is making nature’s shapes 3d printable. I 3d scan cool things that i find in nature and use them as basis for functional prints. I am outside a lot and always on the lookout for cool mushrooms, trees and everything else that may be useful. I also like to design classical functional things among which i have several ongoing series like my notebooks. Sometimes i end up designing things you might consider a little quirky or weird. My 3d scanned and 3d printed food and fruit series kind of falls in that category. In the end those things are still functional but also there to entertain you.
I try to keep everything beginner friendly and take a lot of care in the optimization and testing of my designs. I always make sure that default settings on a common entry-level printer are enough to get good results right away. I write extensive instructions and always make sure to provide alternative version for all use cases.
Where does the name Gazzaladra come from?
My surname is Straka which translates into Magpie. Magpie translated into Italian is Gazzaladra. So it is just my name in a different language.
Releases
I keep overworking myself, so I had to set a hard rule for myself : A design is ready when it's ready. I value quality over quantity, especially with all of the AI slop seeping into 3d printing. I do not want to waste your time and filament. You can count on me releasing at least one thing per month, it is mostly going to be two things. I also update things frequently to give older designs a fresh new look, improve them or provide more versions. Some projects just take way longer than others and unfortunately I never know that when I start one. When there is no release for a few weeks that just means the next one is going to be a big one.
If you compare the hobbyist membership to individual purchases you get about a 50% discount! Bigger designs that take up to one month cost 10 EUR / 12 USD and smaller designs that take up to two weeks cost 5 EUR / 6 USD. Designs released before 2026 when i made this rule are priced at 4 EUR / 5 USD. That means the membership will always be way cheaper that buying a design, because I value the continued support a lot. My members pay for my rent in the end so I always prioritize you getting everything cheaper than individual purchases.

You get instant access to newest releases and everything that was published in the previous month. If you like a mix of things, a little mystery box, this for you!
About 1/3, so 50+ designs of my catalog are Membership Exclusives. You can download all of them right away and will be able to do so as long you are an active member! A new membership exclusive gets added into the welcome bundle right away, so don’t go search in the monthly folder.
If you want to purchase other older designs you get a 25% discount!
Make sure to download the releases within the access time frame! I currently have no system in place that gets you archive access!
This membership is for personal use only!
Maker
You get 6 downloads per month. You get to pick freely what you want! You will retain your chosen designs in your library and your download credits will roll over if you forgot to pick something!

This Tier allows commercial use! You can sell physical prints of my full catalog with an active subscription! Make sure to read the License before you subscribe!
You get instant access to the releases of the current month and the past 5 Months. Meaning you get everything that i made in the last half year. You can sell the entire catalog though, but you have to purchase the designs that you want to sell and were released prior to your access time-frame and are not membership exclusives.

This Tier is best suited for merchants who just want ease of use and all designs right away. Use the Yearly option for 50% off! This means you get the same price as the Seller tier, but unlimited downloads! The Seller tier does not offer a yearly discount.
