I decided to go for the Amanita Muscaria because I wanted to make a set of three handles with the mushroom in a different growth stage so you can get a little variation onto your cabinet. You can also mix and match all stems and heads for an even broader variety.

To get these attached firmly and stable I split each of them into 3 parts to optimize the print direction. By inserting a hex nut, you can use M4 cabinet screws that are the most common size for this application and are available in both Europe and America.

The project went unusually smoothly, and I am quite happy with the result. If you do not want to waste filament on the multi color print you can also just paint on the white dots and lamella with hobby acrylic color!
