I actually did a puzzle recently – and did not know where to put it after it was completed. Great fun, definitely recommend. I managed to turn it around and fixed everything in place with duct tape to hang it on the wall. This gave me an idea: A puzzle wall shelf!

In my mind I head the picture of a shelf that you can expand indefinitely by adding new puzzle pieces. For that to work it had to be based on some kind of grid. I went for a 9-tile grid. Not too big with too many pieces but also big enough to not look repetitive. Overall, it was a doable thing until I decided to create dual and quadruple parts. I had to manually build all potential versions in fusion. This resulted in my biggest fusion assembly ever. While I was already this deep into the project – why not make it in three different heights? 108 Pieces it what came out of this. A quite repetitive process but I have had worse.

To make this comprehensible and usable all parts needed numbers with their respective next part. I even created a PDF template with the grid for you to plan your own shelf. With the other instruction graphics this feels like a really streamlined building process. I put a lot of effort into making this a fun experience.
