It is wall shelf time!

A long time in the making and finally done! This shelf uses a bunch of 3d scans that I gathered over the last year. Ganoderma applanatum is a very shelfable (flat top) species that can be found all around the world in different forests. One of my personal favorites and a good indicator for a heathy forest. Out of seven scans only three made it into the shelf. I don’t want to alter the shape too much, so a major part of the scans stays unused.

I had to include the nice brown color with the white bottom in this design since this is one of the key features of this mushroom. I therefore split the scans up manually to be printable in multiple parts. Simply coloring this for an AMS would result in a lot of waste and insane print time – so I took it on me to fix this for you. The splitting of organic shapes while keeping printability in mind was tough. Having multiple mushrooms in a composition made it worse. The holder position turned it into a wild ride of trial and error. It somehow did end up working.

I made one big composition and two individual shelfs – both in single and multi-part versions. This time there is no small version, since the individual shelves already serve this purpose.
