The tree supports only are needed for the cup. Everything else prints without supports. All in all a very easy print. Thank you so much for sharing this model!

Looks great! You can support the cup to look a bit better but bridging the top is also perfectly fine!

Suggestion - Create a removable tray at the bottom to catch any spills.

Thanks for the input! I will put this on my improvement list!

Superb design, it works great! I think you are left handed since the cup has the point on the wrong side for me ;). I'll see if I can mirror it and print it again.

Gazzaladra

Hehe it's true! Look at the description I put a note in there that you should mirror it for right handed use. Still I am not messing with anyone on purpose here the washing machine powder input is on the left so it makes sense to make the lefty version default here

Ah! Missed that comment. Too enthousiastic when I downloaded it I wanted to print right away! Using it now for a bit and have one suggestion. Make the flippers longer. There forms a sort of tunnel in my powder. Installing the flippers after building the tower makes that they don’t need to fit through the opening! Still love the design fits my shelves perfectly + no more spills

Hey, I was searching for something handy to store our laundry detergent and really like your design! That said, I just bought your model and was a little surprised the archive only contained *.stl files. Would it be possible to also get the *.step files, since I was planning on reshaping the top part a little to fit our shelve height?

Just finished the print. The lid handle is useless, tight fit of the lid means the handle should expand (reverse taper) or have some sort of ledge.

Gazzaladra

The lid has clearance so I might check your seam on this part! Otherwise I think a tight fit is good since it's in a moist environment :) I wrote down the idea with the taper! Good idea for a future V2

I like the tight fit... I plan to print and glue in a small fix that will give me something to grab on.

Hey! Awesome model. I noticed that the radius is not perfectly smooth, seems like a lower resolution STL export. Is it possible to get a higher resolution export, to avoid the visible triangulation in the rounded corners? Thanks!

Which parts of the archive have to be reprinted (I previously ordered the last version at the end of February)?

Gazzaladra
Gazzaladra

So first the inner assembly consisting of swirl, the stem and stopper. The bottom and insert stayed the same. You can reprint the top after trying it out to see if the additional radius in there is neccessary!

Hi there! I printed the model and it came out well. I have one question though, do I need to glue the container part to the stand? The fit is very loose and it makes the model quite wobbly. The lid, however fits perfectly tight.

Gazzaladra

There is no glue needed! If this is very loose there might be something off with the print but if it does fit together without leakage everything's fine!

I printed all parts with reduced infill (%12 and %10 depends on parts) and cubic type of infill, nothing else changed remains same.

After I printed it detergent flows just few (let's say 2/5 of cup) and then it just stuck there and doesn't move anymore, I re-printed the moving part in case there was an issue but same issue still.

Here is the example unlisted video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbGBC0XJav4

Hey thanks for the video, the swirl is plugged in, right? Did you secure it with glue? Otherwise what's the type of detergent that you are using? To make the trouble shooting easier, feel free to join so the discord so I can have a closer look!

Hello Gazz. Very interesting design! I bought the STL files but unfortunately I have two problems, one very minor (the top lid is too tight) and the main problem is my wife's favorite laundry soap appears to be much stickier than yours, so it doesn't want to flow through the existing holes very well (have to constantly tap the container and swing the arm back and forth). Would you be able to make a modified design, or share your CAD or I will need to re-create my own version?

Gazzaladra
Gazzaladra

Hey there, is the detergent that you use actually stickier or are the particles big? So would the issue be the size of the holes or the flow support of the swirl, because both of these can be addressed but I would need a little more info! Also feel free to join the discord and send me pictures there!

tad.alper

The particles don't seem to be large. I'll do a couple of short vids or pics and upload to discord. It feels sticky related. Could be wrong.

do you think this would work for those downy scent beads, or would the stopper get in the way there?

Gazzaladra
Gazzaladra

hm that depends on their size, i do not know unfortunately

Can you share the dimensions of the assembled product? I might need something a bit wider but shorter. Is there a way for me to modify it?

Oleg E

You could cut the top section and remove say 50mm in the middle and then re-join the top and bottom, right? It's pretty easy in Bambu Labs using the Cut tool https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/cut-tool

Making it wider would be more challenging, but also doable

Gazzaladra

It is 120 x 120 x 308 mm big. I do not think that there is a safe way the scale this other than maybe slightly down or up, but universally. You cant just scale X or Y, you would have to scale all factors.
