An awesome addition to this would be label plates or something that can clip on to trays. I plan to use these to organise a lots of items and it would be nice to have a way to attach a label to each box. Great work on this set!
Thank you for this great project! What a great work! Already using it to organize my kitchen drawers with 0.8 nozzle. Suggestion for a future update: Add some stl file we can use as a connector when we need long box (more than print bad allows) to easily connect two or more cut pieces together. Standard "dovetail cut" isnt enough. I solved it with a negative space on sides and bottom on which I glue a "connector". But I can imagine you can come up with something more elegant :)
Hi, I too would love a connecter because I'd love to make some bigger than my build plate. Other than that I am LOVING this system. I'm in the middle of doing two drawers and i feel like I i want everything in my house to be organized by some system. Thanks for making this, I'm not great at 3D printing (yet) and this has been my favorite print job by far!
Three cheers for Boxy! Such a game changer. We finally organized our Christmas tree ornaments and ditched the original rubbish boxes with their crumbly inserts.
End result: 42 separate print jobs using a little over 5 kg of filament, producing 16 rings and exactly 100 boxes (not counting 6 re-prints to re-optimize the final layout). Super functional — and really nice-looking results!
Can you try to re-download the whole thing? I put it in there again, unfortunately the system has a issue with the amough of files - but it definitly should be there now!
I'm working with a Bambu A1 printer and need to be able to make rectangular boxes that are as long as 407mm (16"), and these won't fit on my print bed. Are you open to including some additional models that allow you to connect multiple pieces together to get the length needed for kitchen utensils?
I love the boxes, but I am getting a hard time having consistent quality around the seam. Even moving it manually away from the connector, it affects in a way that it becomes too loose. I bet I'm doing something wrong here, any tips to improve that?
Otherwise, the models are great! They really make everything so much tidier
Maybe slowing down the print a bit coud help? I did also sometimes get some artifacts there on a P1S, while they always come out great on an A1 or A1 mini. My only guess is Speed
I had to put this on hold, but sharing my findings as I get back to it: speed alone was not a viable option for me, what worked was to slightly reduce the line width so the inner wall in the connectors could be printed with a single movement. The 2-steps movement was causing the extrusion variation that caused this issue at high speeds.
I increased the infill to 20% to compensate for potential loss of rigidity and it came out great even at full speed. I actually managed to shave off 1h of print time for each box. I'm editing the make with some screenshots that might help others if they face the same situation.

Will you be thinking about adding specialized inserts? Like smaller models with circles, squares, rectangles, etc., that would fit inside the bases? Either as an insert, or just a MINI set (increments of 1mm from ~5-20mm). I have a bunch of vials and containers I'd love to hold in a drawer.
I might be doing something wrong, but are the tray corners supposed to finish short of the box ends? They seem to have corners that round and are not the same size of the box
May I suggest one addition to the whole set?
It would be a half box/split box, open on one side, so we could combine two of these into one bigger/longer box e.g. for deep drawers, even when we don't have huge printers?
This would be GREEATLY appreciated!!! Thank you :)
Hi There, I love these boxes.... but with the recent change of design for the trays, would it be possible to add the little connector nubsies to the rings? The old trays gave the opportunity to connect the tray as a lid to the box (with the help of a slightly modified connector). But with the new design of the rings and trays, this is not possible any more (ok I will use the "old" tray design for that). In addition a handle for a carry case would be very much appreciated.Thank You!!!!
Hi, while it is a nice idea to connct the tray to the boxes, some people expiereinced printing problems with the little nubsies on the tray - so i decided to remove them for the new ring.
Thanks for coming back to me on this... I totally understand.. so I will use the old trays where possible, as they are included in the original set anyway :)
Weird, I'd make sure you don't have any other programs that may be stopping it. I have heard some folks have 3rd party unzippers they have forgotten about and it makes it unable to zip things
I unzip everything else in your file except that one file? Never had this problem. I'm not sure what the issue is. Can you send me just the boxes file?
Tried a few things. Looks like there are just too many files in that folder and my computer is having Ann issue with it. I'll keep trying. Worst case I can just scale the ones that are there
Hi There, I got the email for the update, but when downloading, it is still the "old version", and only one tray and one ring. Would you please have a look into this? Thanks a mil and keep up the very good work :)
Unfortunately it still only come up the old files (zip), but not the new designs.. and the unzipped files are all dated January 2025, so no new files in it. Sorry for the hazzle ;)
OK I am feeling like I got punked, the description says 6000+ parts that range from X20 x Y20 x Z30 mm to X300 x Y300 x Z100 mm in steps of 10mm. The only thing in the zip file was 1 Box 50x50x50 3 connectors and 2 spacers along with 8 pictures. Did I miss something??? Deeply confused right now.

having the ability to put a carry handle on this (folding or otherwise) would be a wonderful addition
thanks for the input!
lovely, i also see a wave bowl lurking there!

Thats a fun idea thank you!
thats a smart solution! i have heard this feedback a few times now and it is definitly something to consider, thank you!
Hi, so have you added such "connectors file? that we can use for the long boxes? :)
Hi there, unfortunately not yet! I have been working on an update set that will come out this week, but this option is not in there...

Love this project! what's the path to the template though? I only see the 2 examples in the zip files.

I do not have something like this planned but i will add it to my list of potential improvements! thanks for the input

ohhhh cool!!!! definitly share those!
I found the example template PDF files in the zip file, but where do I get the blanks?

I've started completely reorganizing the shelves on my headboard using this set, and will share when it's complete - I love everything about it!
Can't wait!!!

I definitly have inserts on my to-do list! Feel free to drop a selection of things you would like to see insert for here!

This is very interesting, but I downloaded model and it is an older version (not the 2025-05-27 one)
Let me check on this!Should be set now.Downloaded and unzipped everything except the Boxes file. I have downloaded a few programs but still having an error every time I unzip it.

I'd try refreshing the page, it should be some STLs and a bunch of ZIPs!
Unfortunately it still only come up the old files (zip), but not the new designs.. and the unzipped files are all dated January 2025, so no new files in it. Sorry for the hazzle ;)
I am sorry, I'm not sure. It's downloading for me and others! Maybe try logging out and logging back in? I'll reach out to Thangs :)
sorry it works now ... THANKS so much!!
yay!
Awesome collection, where do i find the round pieces?
The round pieces are the z x 20 x 20 mm - so in the respective height folder

Apologies there seems to be something wrong with the attachments and I'm working with Thangs to get this fixed! :)
Awesome I will sit back and wait patiently for it to be fixed, very excited for this!
I do think I got it now. It apparently didn't appreciate the single ZIP with all the files in it.
It worked for me I was able to download the file and unzip everything Looks good can't wait to get some printed. Thank you
Enjoy and thank you for your patience!
