Hi! I love how your print turned out! Can I please ask you how you assembled the pens since he didnt make a video this time. I get the basic just of it but for some reason my flowers hole in the bottom of them do not fit to the small round sticks that I only assume fit on the end of the pen into the flower to keep it attached. But, you seemed to not have anh problems. Please help! Im leaving in less than 2 hours for a show and I have 3 sets to put together and im frustrated and feel so stupid...
You put the yellow piece into the flower from the top. You probably want to use glue so they don’t fall out. The pen slides into the larger hole tip first and the plug helps push it into place. Using a heat gun makes it slide easier for me. The helpful instructions pdf shows this all too though if you didn’t look at that
Thank you so much for your help. Unfortunately I did not get it figured out, still. I tried several times and for the life of me can not get the pens to work, one even broke at the tip and ink went everywhere inside the pen tube luckily so I just threw the entire piece away. I was extremely sad though because I wanted to give this to my mom on Mothers Day. All I gave her was the pitcher that I did make watertight, and the leaves for now. Until I get these damn pens figured out or I find a video
Used Overture Matte White filament for the vase so the kids could paint it. Used pink and gold dual color filament for the petals, shiny green for the stems and leaves, gold for the centers. This one is for our family! Sold some white ones with a silver vase at a fair earlier! LOVE THIS MAKE!
Delightful. As is my custom for pots, I printed the vase with seam position set in my slicer to "random" instead of "aligned," since I prefer randomly patterned zits/bumps over a visible seam. To make the flower caps fit comfortably on the pens, I used a heat gun: holding the gun a couple inches from the base of the cap, on low setting, for about five seconds, before immediately pushing the cap onto the stem with the pen inside. (Heat guns come in different powers, so YMMV.)
This was a fun make!! Calla lilies are my sister in law's favorite, so I made these for her to celebrate mother's day 💐 Now she has an everlasting set!
Printed for my mother in law for Mothers Day! Her favorite color is purple and I found a beautiful lavender that looked stunning with this print and it turned out amazing! Printed vase in marble pla with flowers and stems printed in pla as well. Overall, great print!
any advice on this? Never had this happen before. I tired slowing the print down, tried using supports, but I get the same results. Using Flashforge AD5X printer with .4mm nozzle
Hi, This does look very frustrating, hopefully I can help fix this. A few suggestions I have would be to increase your fans cooling speeds to 100% (if it isn't already) as well as keep those speeds slow on the outer wall. There looks like its possible cooling issues causing the clumping on the outer walls, so these changes should help.
Hi, From the pictures, it looks like the pen refill isn’t fitting properly. I’m noticing some bulging in the layer lines which often means there is warping happening. This is often caused by the print lifting slightly from the build plate during printing. It’s a common issue and can usually be resolved by washing the build plate with warm water and dish soap, applying a thin layer of glue (such as Elmer’s washable glue stick), and, in some cases, adding a brim to both ends of the pen.
I had this issue initially but what fixed it for me was printing the stems straight up instead of on their side. After that, they fit perfectly. Hope this helps!
Hi, we are working on an update to solve any fit issues. For now, a bandage solution would to be to use a heatgun to soften the plastic just enough to make the pen and plug slide in easier.
i have had issues with 2 prints now i printed the morning glory with the magnets fitting all but the flowers and this print which i cant get the pen in at all and i bought the g2 pilot like recommended im not sure what i am doing wrong
Hi! I am more than happy to help figure these issues out with you, I know how frustrating it can be when things don't work out as expected. For the pens, a common issue we have seen is poor bed adhesion which can cause the outer sides one the pen to warp in the process of printing, and make it so the pens don't fit. A few ways to fix this is by washing your build plate with warm water and dish soap, add glue (like an Elmer's glue stick or similar) and sometimes adding a brim to the outside helps
For the morning glory flowers it sounds like you may be experiencing "elephants foot" which cause the first layer to expand on the build plate for a few different reasons; but this can be easily adjusted in Bambu studio by increasing the Elephant Foot Compensation. It can be found under "process" -> "quality" -> "precision". I recommend reading the bambu wiki it takes you to if you click it to learn more but you could raise it to .2mm and that should help the magnet fit issue.
With some modifications I finally managed to print the stems one at a time. But now I am not sure how this is supposed to work but the pen hangs out too much from the stem and the plug part just sticks out from the back? This is a g2 refill as listed.
Hi! I’m not sure why but your refills look different than the ones I used. Did you use the ones linked in the description? Also the end plug is meant to sit flush, but you will likely need to use some force to push it down into place. I used my desk to push down onto it
Im not sure what I am doing wrong but the pen portion won’t work and I’ve tried to print it like 4 times. It ends up with a huge mess of filament in the printer and gets stuck. Any ideas? I’ve never had issues with any other prints.
Is it coming off the build plate and clumping around the nozzle? If so, You want to make sure you have really good bed adhesion. I would make sure you wash your build plate with dish soap and warm water. You may even need a brim, if the print keeps coming off the build plate.
There is the flower stem and a plug that holds the pen insert in place. The plug should only push the pen out far enough for the flower cap to fit on. Take a look at the Helpful Instructions PDF, if you haven't already, Ity explains everything and will help with assembly.

Hi and thank you! The pen caps are designed to fit snugly onto the G2 pen refills, you may have to press them down just a bit to feel them sit securely.
Would it be possible to make a version that the pens don't have that flat side? I know it's minor but it bothers some people when holding the pen. I printed a few standing straight up just to check and they still have that flat side. Plus, the print comes out looking better anway.
Hi, the flat side is what helps the pen get good builplate adhesion when laying on its side, and gives it its strength. We had done standing up pens before and there were complaints about being too fragile and these are much stronger

When I do that it’s is pushing out the pen.
A quick fix, since you are short on time, is to use a heat gun to get them to fit all the way!
Thank you! My PDFs NEVER open from him and IDK why because I can print everyone elses just fine. I appreciate you!!
I hope you get it figured out! The PDFs are super helpful!

Awesome, especially the fourth picture, perfect match
Thank you for sharing!
I love the black petals
Your make looks beautiful! Thank you for sharing everything you did to make it work great for you!

I’m having issues getting the pilot G2 refills to go into the stems. They just don’t seem to fit

There are two green rods one you can insert the pen, but what is the other one for? It pushes out the pen

I found these refills and you spend half of what you’re spending and get twice a much. https://a.co/d/inqV1ao

What is the colour code filament do you use for green?
Hi, I link all the filament I use in the description of each model. The green is PolyTerra Jungle Green.
can you make it fit the 0.7mm x 107mm ballpoint pen refills?
Hi, we don't have plans for that at the moment, as we've found them to be less reliable. The G2 pens are much stronger and last a lot longer.
A very nice and easy print but is the flower pen cap supposed to just set loosely on top or am I doing something wrong?
