I made a game! AKA: Where I've been
As the title implies, I took some time off from printing to make a game - Pongtris! A lot of life happened this year, I kinda got burnt out, so I decided switch gears and make a game. What started as a simple goof "make a game entirely in software" project turned into a full fledged arcade beast, and ended taking a lot of my attention.
What about the print shop? Well, I did a soft shutdown, sold a couple of the printers... I still sculpt and print, but mostly as a novelty at this point. You can blame AI for that, at least in part. I'll probably upload some new stuff from time to time, but honestly I just don't have the passion for it I once did.
Animus is still in the works, but may change shape a few times before it gets finalized - there's a lot to create with the game world.
So what is Pongtris? A stacker game meets ball + paddles with some brick breaker thrown in, and some fun twists for good measure. Pongtris: One ball, two paddles, too many blocks!
I'm currently working on a 3D wrapper that will give you some fancy graphics and display some of my models in the background using various effects. Who knows, this might be where I debut Animus gen 2, as background models!
I won't get into anything too crazy about the game here, but I figured some of you of you might be interested, and it's on sale until the new year. If you want to have a look, check it out on itch.io!
