For those that are having difficulty importing this profile via the .3mf file...
You may need to change the default file open behavior in Cura. You can do this by:
Navigating to: 'Preferences > General > Opening and Saving Files > Default Behavior when opening a project file:'
Change the value to 'Always ask me this'
Click 'File > New Project' and choose the .3mf file
You should now be prompted to choose how to open the file. Select 'Open as project'
Those of you looking for Chuck's Prusa slicer profiles can find it on his website as a .ini file for import https://www.chepclub.com/prusaslicer-profiles.html
the Extra Fast profile isnt in there but if you watch the youtube video, "Print Faster with Custom Cura Profiles for Ender 3 and Ender 3 Clones" that he did showcasing the profile he does explain the tweaks with screenshots
Looks pretty nice. I'm struggling to get it adjusted properly for my Ender 3: it is just way too fast for my nozzle: it cools and starts skipping, even when I set temps all the way up to 217C on my Creality Ender series PLA.
No problems on the 3v3se.
I even print faster with a layer heigt of 0.32. more you cannot do with a 4.0.nozzle.
200 mms.
Most of the time.
With this speed A even print smal bal BEARINGS.
So chil when they run of the buildplate.
I tweake.t. Cura for this.
The settings you need to put the seam to random .to print balbarrings anyway.
Bud the 3v3se its much better then al of the lower Series.
From Creality.
Also the ke.
Is much better.
Only the buildplate is smaller.
This profile is pretty sweet!
Can you modify it for petg? Or make suggestions for other materials like ASA and ABS?
I am a noobie to 3d printing/design and can use all the help I can get!
I unboxed my new Ender 2 Pro, put it together, leveled the bed, then loaded this .3MF project into Cura and it laid down the best first layer I've ever seen without any modification on my part. Amazing. Thanks, CHEP.
Hi Chep, I'm a newbee but I did download your FF file and I am using the Creatlity 4.2.1 slicer but after slicing the filament Friday file I didn't see any speed after calling it up using Octo Print. It did take over 1-1/2 hours to print on my Ender 3, what am I doing wrong? Please help.
Hi Guys, can I use this profile meant for an Ender 3 on my Ender 2 Pro ?
If so, its just a matter of slicing it for an Ender 3 but using it on my Ender 2 pro ?
Sorry for the noob question, I am just getting started :)
I now see the problem I have been having with this profile (and what others may not have noticed). I have an AnyCubic Kobra Max. When importing this file, it does import, but attached to a Creality Ender-3 Pro. If you then select 'that' printer, you will see the freshly imported fast profile...
My question is: is there an easy way to move profile settings to a different printer? Profile Mgmnt doesn't allow it. I haven't found anyone discussing this... Is there an easy way, or do I just have to hunt and peck? :)
My preferred slicer/work environment is MatterControl, mainly because I like the UI, and because I can create or modify models in addition to being able to print.
Is there some SIMPLE way to get all the information in the CHEP Cura profile into MatterControl, or for that matter, into any other slicer program? Will it work in anything but Cura, or does it make use of settings that are unique to Cura, with no equivalents in other slicers? ANY help will be greatly appreciated.
Holy Crap! Batman, took my 25hours 23 minute print down to 5 hours 22 minutes and I had been following all the collective advice from the various videos online. Thanks heaps!
I have tried both projects and it keeps hanging on the open project screen. I just downloaded and installed Cura 5.0.0 maybe there are some changes in the latest install that are not meshing well with setting in the project. I have tried running Cura as an administrator, changing the settings suggested by amuckin77, opened the .stl first, opened the object from the .3mf file then tried to run as project. All failed with a hung open project screen that is just blank.
Any extra help with getting the profile loaded would be greatly appreciated.
humm, any ideas here? I'm running an Ender 3 that upgraded all around, direct drive with dual gear extruder and all metal hot end. I have it dialed in like a champ, and it's been printing perfectly for quite some time now however, I just loaded the fast profile(zero issues in doing so), sliced the file and had octoprint send it as usual. Printed in 25 mins and I had fantastic adhesion however about 3.5-4mm in on the print the under extrusion began and persisted for the remainder of the print. It came out horrible, any ideas where I should begin adjustments? Brand new nozzle as well with E steps dialed in and everything is tuned on machine. Thanks in advance!
Forgot to add that I made a single adjustment to the profile which was to raise the print temp up to 210 from the initial 200 since my hot end works best there with my PLA. That shouldn't have caused the issue though I wouldn't think.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1j5iZe0UwvlKXRujTNQdnor_lT_DwWLqP?usp=sharing Added the .curaprofile to my dropbox - hope this is helpful for those having issues importing it - fingers crossed. It worked just fine for me - I had tried it on my creality slicer and it told me the machine was not found "creality_ender3pro" so tried it in Cura and worked right away.
My goodness. A 2hr 18 min print is now 1hr 11mins. WHAT? This is insane. Going to try it with arcwelder and see if that helps resolution without impacting time too much.
Wow! I have the new Ender 3 S1 and my unmod'd Cura slice time (standard quality 0.20) gave a print time of 14 hours, 44 mins. Your fast profile shows a print time of 5 hours, 49 mins!!
this doesn't work for me have tried multiple ways to try to open the fast profile and none of them work have tried all of the fixes below with no results. this 3mf file just doesn't exist zero ways to open it. I'm completely stumped there for giving up on this
O M G ty ty ty ty ty ty ty ty ty ty ty this is SO awesome! I have cut my prototyping times in HALF and am currently testing my production builds with this THANK YOU!
Is there a way to use this profile with an 0.8mm nozzle? When I select 0.4mm, the profile shows up. But with 0.8mm, it's not listed as a selectable profile.
Works well for PLA - cant tell the difference between this and a standard print that takes twice the time, but found it didn't print properly in PETG - came out like swiss cheese!
Can't wait to start using this profile, I've got a couple 10-15 hour prints that were just halved by loading this into Cura.
To those that can't get it, check your Cura settings and make sure under opening and saving files in the general settings that the default behavior for opening project files is to always ask or always open as a project. Mine was set to always import models so it was treating the project file as an stl file, it would just load the model and do nothing else. It was a very frustrating night of trying to get the profile to load before I finally saw that in the settings.
I love this profile, i loved your other Cura profiles, but this became an instant favorite.
I have also successfully used it for a print in place gyroscopic keychain, with 0.2 layers instead of 0.28, it took only 48 minutes instead of about two hours and the result is perfect, both aesthetically and functionally.
can't post the result photo is weird. but with a little line width modification and speed adjustments i made it in 17 min and looks overall the same, even tho it might need 1 extra top/bottom layer. but still a 5min reduction from initial project very nice. thanks for sharing. (i got a regular ender 3 (no pro or other weird stuff names - just boring ender 3 with a merlin v1 on it works flawless with all the gcodes.))
I cannot get the settings to load in Cura. I have made sure my settings are checked so that it always asks if I want to load the project, but still can't get it to work. Any ideas? Or is it possible you could export the cura profile so we can just load the profile directly?
Thanks so much for sharing this profile and your youtube was very helpful to understand what you have done. (https://youtu.be/t_9ADBZVCoA). This is a non destructive way to speed up your printer. I had a 1 hour 9 minute print drop to 23 minutes! It has changed my 3D printing life...well at least it has given me a bunch of time back.
Time to become a patreon supporter as all of your videos are well done and complete.
Hi Chuck. Would it be possible for you to do a chart showing all the settings you changed between the two profiles, and maybe some comments on which ones you think made the most impact on the speed without impacting quality too much.
this would also help those of us who use PrusaSlicer to import your profiles into that slicer.
Love your videos. Thanks.
hello, I downloaded and unzipped and it unzipped as a .3mf which when I tried to upload the file to my cura slicer it didn't work, Does anyone have any idea how to make it fit?
Anyone know how I can make this profile work with a 1.0mm nozzle? it jumps to Draft setting only and this profile is set for standard and idk how to edit it to work with draft
This is it's own profile and shouldn't put you on the Draft settings. Make sure you check it in the dropdown. And as for making it work with a 1.0mm nozzle, I guess you would have to just change the quality settings of this profile.
you should get a file nammed FFExtruderTop_ExtraFastProfile.3mf when downloading.
go to file
open file
select that downloaded file
then cura will prompt you to open as project and will automatically import the profile
This is an awesome! The question I have is how to fix the corners on rectangle/square models, is there a way to slow it down at the corners? It definitely puts more in the corners.
Hi. I'm working on a Mac... and just importing the .3mf does not create the profile.
Anybody knows how to extract just the profile from the 3mf? Or maybe any workaround?
SOLVED. Addind here just in case someone else is having the same problem.

My profile (with .2lh) was 55 mins on my Ender 3 Pro. Your Super fast profile printed in 21:54. The only thing other than some stringing (prob the filament/temp combo) was that the "filament line" didn't print on mine. The skin layer on top also had some gaps. Maybe from under-extrusion or narrow line width. Other than that, What an amazing difference! I'll definitely tweak on this for my needs to balance precision with speed, but thank you so much for your help to the community for all those like me!
eski model tronxy x3a model yazıcıya sahibim ve ayarları direk yükledim yazdırdım .çok beğendim,süreyi uzatacak olsada ,duvarların arası boşluk kalabiliyor o yüzden ,duvarlar arasındaki boşluk doldurmayı her bölüm yaptım, 7saat lik bası 2.30 saat inanılmaz
This is awesome! This profile just shaved 3hrs off an 8hr PLA print. Current trying the profile on my Ender 5 Pro. The only changes I made was adding support to the bed and nozzle and bed temperature changes. So far so good :)
Love it so far. Link would not work on you tube so came here and found it. Had to re download Cura and set it to accept this sort of file. Have a print that sliced at 1 day 30 minutes. Resliced with your profile and its at 7 hours lol
Hi, tested with an ender 3 and esun pla+.
2 1/2 hour printing stop extruding half way. The PLA was crystalized inside the nozzle (could be just a coincidence)
Also noticed the printed pla more shinning, using the same temperature as before.
The profile is set for an Ender 3 Pro and although I changed the bed size in the settings for an Ender 5 Plus it greys out the edges of the bed so it ends up being the same size as the Ender 3 Pro, how can this be fixed?

Hope this helps!

Will this work on the Ender 3 wit a 4.2.7 mainboard?
Hey, what is the difference beetween this profile and the standard one, what changes did you make?
I was wondering why it takes 23 minutes on 0.28 when I do it on 0.2 it makes it in 14 minutes but noticed the part was from 2 yer ago much has changed

What should you do if you don't have winzip
winrar also opens zip files. and modern windows can also extract zip files directly. right click the file to see options. ;-)
Download it

Hello! I found a fix for this by using a .curaprofile file. Some guy in this comment section had uploaded the profile as a .curaprofile file for people to use. Here is the link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1j5iZe0UwvlKXRujTNQdnor_lT_DwWLqP?usp=sharing
WOW! This really does work. 50% reduction in print times and looks even BETTER than before. Amazing! Thank you!

I was having the same issue before I tried this profile. Turns out I needed to recalibrate the E-steps. You may want to try that.
Forgot to add that I made a single adjustment to the profile which was to raise the print temp up to 210 from the initial 200 since my hot end works best there with my PLA. That shouldn't have caused the issue though I wouldn't think.
Thank you. I just installed it.Gonna give it a try!

Why stop at .28 instead of .32? It'd increase speed more with a bit more sacrifice in resolution but for functional prints it may not even matter.
cant open in windows only mac can you make on for the windows cura
i cant uderstand why so many of you are having trouble with this. Just open the 3MF file in cura and thats it your done.......
The profil is not included its just the model STL.
Load the .3mf as a project file...upper left corner File/New Project.
Works well for PLA - cant tell the difference between this and a standard print that takes twice the time, but found it didn't print properly in PETG - came out like swiss cheese!

worked perfect np watch the video on youtube
Will not load! Just click bate!
it loads fine, learn how to use cura
If you go to File, Open Files, Open the .stl. Then open the project. This method worked to import it for me.

Can anyone point me towards instructions to modify this profile for an Ender5?
Thanks chep. But can I use this settings on PETG and ABS... I use lotmax sc10
Cut an 8:30 hour print down to 2:20
**** nice
cut a 29hr dragon down to 14.5hrs
UNABLE TO GET THE PROFILE WHEN FILE LOADED, DO I REQUIRE CURA 4.12
Go to File, Open File, select profile and cura will prompt you to open as project and will automatically upload the profile

you should get a file nammed FFExtruderTop_ExtraFastProfile.3mf when downloading. go to file open file select that downloaded file then cura will prompt you to open as project and will automatically import the profile
you have to unzip the file
hello, should i download an extra App to open it? Because when i clik on it, it just gets open in a Win 3D viewer
it's a compressed archive of files in ZIP format. you must UnZip it. https://www.winzip.com/
This is an awesome! The question I have is how to fix the corners on rectangle/square models, is there a way to slow it down at the corners? It definitely puts more in the corners.
So can it be modify for the mp10 and mp10 mini?
Went from 2 hours 25 minutes on a part to 45. ****... What a timesaver.
So this wont break my printer??

worked like a charm. took 3 seconds to install and a 3.5 hour print reduced to 1 hour and 50 mins. Great job and many thanks..
The test print worked great on my CR-6-SE ! Going to try these settings on some other print's Cheers Guy's

All the ender 3 range seem to be able to use the same gcodes I used this with a v2 and an original ender 3. you will be fine.
This is awesome! This profile just shaved 3hrs off an 8hr PLA print. Current trying the profile on my Ender 5 Pro. The only changes I made was adding support to the bed and nozzle and bed temperature changes. So far so good :)
cura keeps saying profile is corrupted and won't let me install
ditto, when i open the file it is a 3d object
Ditto
If you wanted a better looking print & changed .28 to .2, would it work..??
I'm wondering the same thing
