Lo-vely Dragon
Inspired by my Love-ly Dragon, one of the bottega's most popular dragons, here is Lo-vely Dragon in a " glue-on" version.
I have often been asked to create designs with eyes to be printed separately, which creates problems on highly decorated and detailed designs, especially when the eyes are not perfectly round to give expression.
Some time ago, just of Love-ly I was asked for a version with hearts to be glued separately. I always wondered if it could be done without compromising the result and the aesthetics.
Here is the compromise: Lo-vely! Also in a winged version for those who want it. It is a basic wing system, but very durable (as opposed to ball joints that give out over time).
I hope you have fun assembling it. Glue is required.
Some hearts need to be pushed deeper to fit the body, especially on the head. Give it a try before using glue.
If you use BRIM, the hearts will stay in order (pic). If you need it, you can print the guide found in the folder.
I used glue for each heart and horn, although some fit together nicely.
The wings are mounted backwards from how they are printed, so you can hold them almost horizontal when they are stationary.
