This is a cool project, and I can't wait to try it at the gaming table. Do heed the advice to use brim, particularly on some of the larger parts. I did need the low tollerance hinges for the dice tower, but managed the book hinges with the original.
Looks like I missed this comment. I apologize. "cut" specifies that a corner is cut off. On the front cover where the magnets go, you'll see it takes up some of the internal space of the book. It will run into a typical insert. So a "cut" insert allows the cover to still close if you put an insert on that side of the book.
Is there a tip for getting the dice tower V2 door to open? I broke one completely off and adjusted my perimeters for a second print and it's still not wanting to budge :(
I apologize. This fell off my radar for a bit. I've uploaded the Dice Tower Part2 v2 model with a lower tolerance on the door. Hopefully it won't stick anymore.
If you no longer have access to download the book without paying, let me know and I'll resolve that for you.
Hey is this part in the main download file or something else? I downloaded the current version of the tome pack on this link but I don't see a v2 version of dice tower part2. Thanks!
Excellent question! I eventually just replaced the original with the v2 version. So the original versioned one you see is the one with the lower tolerances. Let me know if you have issues with the door fusing and I'll see about adding even more generous tolerances.
This is an awesome box. I printed it on the A1, I did have some ringing on the tall book spine but it makes the design look cooler. Thank you for being a great designer!
Sorry if I wasn't clear, it's the little piece with a half circle cut out that goes into the slot right below the dice tower when it's attached to the book. I checked through all your files in the tray inserts and there's nothing that's the same size.
Edit: Also, I should mention, I'm a huge fan of this project and love everything about it.
Oh yes. Well, in testing I found that smaller dice like to fall into that small area while all the inserts are in place. I designed a "Card Insert" that goes into that slot. "Card Insert2" is the file that has the half circle thing you're talking about. You can put cards in that slot, then put that insert in to keep other things from falling in.
I admire this design x1000. Very creative and resourceful. Design cover is also very nice. Maybe other optional covers. One w D&D ampersand logo or some other dragon/wizard/knight effect on it? AI using woodcut style could help. Already saw the plain cover suggestion.
I too made something very similar. But I ended up covering mine in leather and the inside surfaces with green felt. Honestly I like yours better. Do you perhaps have a version without the design on the cover?
I have been working on a nearly identical concept, with little headway. I think I may just print yours to use and keep working on mine as an exercise. looks dope as heck! Thanks!
Thanks! I worry the hinge might be a little difficult for a lot of people, so I just uploaded a couple hinge links that have a slightly more generous tolerance. Hopefully people have a good experience with this print.
Wondering if anyone else is facing the same issue; trying to print this on an sv06 and the pages and book back are just slightly too large. Is the only option to stand them up and use supports, or has anyone had success otherwise?

I love the name plate! Well done!
I love the colors you chose! Looks fantastic!
What filament did you use for the cover and back of the book? Looks great!
The first photos are just computer renders, but the filament I used in the latter photos is just a brown PLA from Bambu Lab.
This may be a dumb question, but what does cut mean in the title of some of the files?

That's frustrating. Why didn't I add some clearance to the moving parts. I'll let you know when that's uploaded. I'm sorry about that
No worries, I did end up getting it loose thankfully. An update would be awesome :D

Fantastic print. Is there a list anywhere of different combinations of trays that would fit inside of the tome?
I don't currently have a list, but that's a good idea. I could definitely put one together.
What is the piece that you add that has a cut out thumb hole at the 1:55 mark of the video?
I think it's so that you can lift the tray out to the right if you want/need to (unsure)
That's the dice tower. It has a door you can flip open to ensure the dice lands in the book.

I too made something very similar. But I ended up covering mine in leather and the inside surfaces with green felt. Honestly I like yours better. Do you perhaps have a version without the design on the cover?
Actually, I do. I can upload it later today for those who wish to have a plain cover.

Very nice! Looks like a lot of work went into this, looks awesome to boot.
Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the design.

The book is certainly too big to be printed on an sv06. However, I'm working on a smaller book that might fit your needs better. Stay tuned.
