Lifehack: L-Shape Connector

Lifehack: L-Shape Connector

Hi everyone! Recently I made my first layered light composition (I’m so obsessed with this that you’ll definitely see more). You may notice in the video that I use my own fasteners to connect pieces of LED strip. They’re very simple - basically just a tight holder that prevents the strip from moving. But I’ll explain how to do it properly in this short post.

So, you’ve cut the strip - what next?
You’ll need a needle and copper wire (the kind that conducts electricity). Use the needle to make holes like shown in the photo.

Twist several strands of copper wire together.
Thread them through the holes on both sides and twist/fold them together to connect.

All that’s left is to secure it properly (you can use pliers to press the contact even tighter).

And that’s it! Super simple, but it works.

Maybe it’s not the most elegant solution - in that case I’d be very happy to hear your ideas on better ways to do this.

Thanks for your attention! 😸
