Today, I'm excited to present the progress on our upcoming release. We've got some big beasts coming your way, so get your printers warmed up because you're going to have things to print!
I thought that for this release, I wanted to change things up a bit and create something unique. I've never seen a Nothic dragon before, so I thought it could be fun to create one. I spent a week working on the modeling to produce the model you see before you.
I wanted to give a fleshy aspect to the wings, as the Nothic is a creature that is inherently bony and thin, and the fleshy texture is iconic to it. I tried to convey this through my sculpt.
The swirling patterns you see at the bottom of the base are magical tendrils that I added. Considering that the base Nothic is a former arcanist corrupted by magic, I wanted to create a connection with that. Therefore, the Nothic dragon is a spellcaster and knows the deepest magic and secrets of its adversaries!
It is constantly in search of powerful magical artifacts!
I hope you like this idea and that you'll have plenty to paint for the month. I'll soon start modeling the next dragon, which will be just as unique. I'm really excited to present it to you!
