This a remix of the Planetary Snowman which I made for the Thangs holiday remix contest. Go there to see the other remixes or for a better base file to remix your own.

This version has receivers built into the snowman so the accessories can be more easily located and glued on. When you hold the center ball and spin the bottom ball of this snowman, its head rotates at 3 times the speed because it has planetary gears on the bottom.

Supports are not required but make sure you use a large brim on all the accessory pieces so they don’t tip over. I also would not suggest more than 3 walls on the arms, as it might make them hard to print. There is a built in brim on the sun(center) gear, make sure you remove that before using it.
If you scale it down it will make it more difficult to print but scaling it up will actually make it easier. I think it will scale up to at least 200% if not more without issue. I used Gorilla Glue(aff.) for gluing on the accessories.
