When I print the blades in vase mode they fall through each other, my extrusion multiplier is already at 0.98, should I still increase this? Would you have a suggestion by how much? I did watch the trouble shooting video.
Strange that they are still fallign thru, I would make sure you are changing the correct setting. I know you have to change it a couple places Orca, Prusa, and Bambu slicers.
when i open the separate blade files they are filled in. Why does this happen? I thought it was a problem with Cura, but i opened them in another 3d software and they where filled in as well? The handle is not, so i don't know what the problem is.
Ive tried messing around on my cura with different setting people gave me.... its just got working ? Am i able to print each of the 5 parts of the (blade) separately? On thingiverse they all seam to be in-closed not hallow? Im i missing something 😕
Nope, none of my lightsabers require supports. I do have to make some small compromises from the original design to make the hilt print as one part and support free.
I use an Ultimaker S3 and it can only go 198mm up, so I can't fit the hilt. Is there a reliable way to resize this so it still collapses and expands well?
You can scale it nonuniformly and just scale the Z.
Or if you print the blades in vase mode, you can scale it uniformly then adjust your line width when you print the blades.
Example. 198/209=.95 .86*.95=.82
So if you scale to 95% so its 198mm high, when you print the blades in vase mode change your line width to .82mm. Print two blades test them then adjust accordantly.

how long does it take
How many walls should the vase version of the blades have? I have it set as 2, but not sure this is correct. I haven't printed it yet.
Vase mode will print with a single line so you need to change the line width. There is more info on this on my troubleshooting page.

does the hilt need supports cause when i sliced it it shows supports? also should i use horizontal expansion (-0.5mm)?
Supports are not needed. Typically the issue is the seam catching, not sure if a negative horizontal expansion will help.
Why are all the files for vase made solid???
So then can be printed in vase mode???
the blades still fall through each even after watching the trouble shooting video. is there any other setting i need to change?
If you are printing in vase mode, you need to change your line width.
can I print this on a resin printer?
I dont know to be honest.

The individual blades are meant to be printed and vase mode. See the troubleshooting guide for more information.
The thingiverse link is not working anymore, that means that I can't print the blade separatly
Blades are added.
Thank you
very good design! I'm asking you, will you have or be able to add the handle in separate parts, since I only have one extruder. it is appreciated!
Yes, its in my collection.
is it still in your collection because i cant find it anywhere
How to print blade parts separatly? And what are your settings for handle of the lightsaber (number of walls, infill)?
For printing the blades separately, see the trouble shooting guide. There is not much walls or infill, 3 walls x 15% is fine.
what oritation should i use
If you print in the orientation provided you should not have to use supports.
It's really difficult to collapse the lightsabers. They really lock when extended. Any suggestion on how to make them easier to collapse?
Not really, try not to extend them for hard.
will the other lightsaber blade files work for this hilt?
It will fit but is a little long...
Make a pnp version
i wanna ask, which layer hight are you recomending?
I use .2mm on all my lightsabers.
The Blade won't come out, how can I fix this. (Of the printing position)
I would need more information to help you out but if you are having troubles I would suggest printing them in vase mode.

Yes you can print them separately. The appear solid, until they are sliced in vase mode.
Can you give more specific instrcutoions?
Yes, find the troubleshooting guide I link in every model description. There is a lot of info there.
the blade part isn't coming out of the original position is there a specific way to get it out?
I would need more information to help you out but if you are having troubles I would suggest printing them in vase mode.
will this lightsaber model work with chitubox for a resin 3D printer?
I'm not sure, I think it might be tricky otherwise I would think I would have seen more of it.
Do these prints require supports?
Nope, none of my lightsabers require supports. I do have to make some small compromises from the original design to make the hilt print as one part and support free.
