Sideshow Bob (Simpsons)
Sideshow Bob is back, and once again his greatest enemy wins: the rake. Caught the moment it snaps up and smacks him in the face, this model captures one of the most classic running gags from The Simpsons.
Dimensions: At 100% scale, Bob stands approximately 10.2 inches (260 mm) tall. Scaling up should work fine, but scaling down may tighten tolerances and make assembly more difficult.
Colors Used:
Bambu Basic: White, Mistletoe Green, Cyan, SIlver Bambu Matte: Dark Red, Dark Brown, Yellow Bambu Silk+: Silver
Pro Tip: Use a heat gun to remove light spots left by support residue and to clean up any small filament strings on the parts.
Printing Tip: I increased the infill density to 40% in the profile for the boots and the rake. I recommend keeping a higher infill to help him stand level.
Assembly Tips Glue the boots to the pants last, after assembling all the other parts of Sideshow Bob. Test fit the boots on the pants to find the position where he stands level. Once you determine the correct placement, glue the boots to the pants and secure the boot to the rake.
Assembly Steps • Attach the shirt to the pants. • Attach the hands to the shirt. • Press the left and right teeth into the mouth. Firmly press them in until the gap in the front is very small. • Attach the hair to the head using the pin. • Attach the head to the body. • Test fit the boots while he is standing on the rake. Once satisfied with the position, glue the boots in place. • Attach the stick to the rake and glue it onto his nose. • Assemble the machete and slide it between his arm. No glue is needed, and your build is complete.
That’s it, your build is complete. You’ve now brought the infamous Sideshow Bob to life in 3D print form, rake and all. Thank you so much for your support and for printing this model. I hope you had fun putting it together and enjoy displaying it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Be sure to tag @Playco3D when you share your finished print. I can’t wait to see your builds.
