PRINTED COASTERS | CUSTOMIZABLE WITH BOTTLE OPENER
I combined the warmth of wood with the precision of 3D printing to create something truly special. These unique coasters feature beautiful painted or laser-engraved wood inlays, which can be customized with any design or text you can imagine using xTool M1 ULTRA! (I took the images from the Internet. I will leave the link in the download file.)
DIY Recommendations & Tips:
-
Material: Use a 3mm thick piece of light-colored wood for the best engraving results. Don’t have wood? No problem! You can simply 3D print a circle (Diameter=105mm, Thickness=3mm) and use that as your custom insert.
-
Protection is Key: After painting and laser cutting your wooden piece, don’t forget to spray it with a protective clear coat or varnish. This crucial step makes the wood waterproof and durable against condensation. I used this!
-
Bottle Opener: The design is made for a standard bottle opener with a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 2mm. The one I used is just a suggestion—feel free to use your favorite one that fits these dimensions! I used this!
-
Printing Tip: The .3MF file is designed with a automatic pause to place your custom wood or plastic circle. Just gently clean any stringing from the print, snap your artwork into place, and resume the print. It’s super easy!
