Lock crap out of your Prusa or clone's rails with these snap-in covers!

Original description: T-slot covers provide protection from debris buildup and can also be used to manage wires and cables recessed within the T-slot. They can also add a finishing look to your project.

So... Since I couldn't really find what I wanted I made my own.

Unlike the retail T-Slot covers these can be flush mount to the top of your extrusions. This is an absolute must for the top covers of the front extrusions on the MK3 with only a few thousands of an inch clearance. But they do clear so, Yipee!!!

The Set STL is already arranged and sized. Just print and install. Pretty easy really.

I also included the separate STL files for each length and the original Solidworks file so you can resize to whatever your PLA infused heart desires.

I printed in PETG but use whatever you want.

Alternatively, if you've already printed this model and don't want to reprint, I found it is still possible (though difficult) to snap in these original pieces by clipping the ends and trimming off the final layer. I also had success with this model by specifying a Height Range Modifier starting at 3.5mm until 4mm and telling the printer not to print the final 2 layers. But if you're going through that much trouble you might as well just print the remix.

I am trying to snap these in from the side where I have clearance and it is very hard to get them in.. any advice?

Did Zack intend these to be installed before assembly? It seems like he had already assembled the printer before he snapped them in.

Hi CamPrints, Once you select "Download all," you will need to unzip the folder. Within that folder, there will be several .stl files for you to review and load into your slicing program. - welcome to Thangs!
