The Tessera Planter is an experimental geometric planter defined by its repeating diamond facets, each one a small tile in a larger pattern, where texture meets form, and function meets intention.The planter features a twist off drip tray that is seamless and hidden when attached. (A multi toolhead printer is recommended for printing this model)

Scaling Reference

• Original size: 129 mm inner diameter at 100% scale, fits ~120 mm pots
• 84% scale results in ~108 mm inner diameter, fits ~100 mm pots
• 68% scale results in ~88 mm inner diameter, fits ~80 mm pots
• Percentages are biased to make the diameter larger for some tolerance

Instructions

• 3MF file and individual STLs are included
• If importing STL, import the file together with the "pattern" variation as and load it as a single object model. From there within the "object" tab, you can assign different filament colors to the pattern and base
• If importing STL, you have to use "fuzzy skin painting" to paint the exterior of the model (ensure internal locking mechanisms do not have fuzzy skin as it would affect the tolerances)
• To mimic the texture in the photos, set "Fuzzy Skin Thickness" to 0.5mm
• No supports required
• Use a lower layer height such as .12mm for a higher quality finish and print (Optional)
• Model can be re-scaled as required to fit your own planters (Refer to Scaling Guide)
