Shoji Lamp 3

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

My 3rd variation of the Shoji Lamp and I would say my current favourite. It is a lot more architectural this time, featuring more details and layers for the light to bounce off on whilst still keeping it zen and cozy. The pieces all print without supports and fit through peg and slot joints so no glue is required. Try out different filaments such as transparent PETG or Matte PLA to get different textures and light diffusion!

Instructions

  • 3MF file and individual STLs are included
  • Use a lower layer height such as .12mm for a higher quality finish and print (Optional)
  • The bulb holder holds an E27 Socket with a 370mm diameter (A 380mm variation is included, do let me know what size sockets you use so I can gauge and model different variations as I move forward!)

Lamp Base and Exterior

  • No supports required
  • Everything is connected through peg and slot joints

Lamp Shade

  • No supports required
  • It is recommended to print with standard settings for 0.8mm thick walls, or opt for a thinner shade by enabling "spiral vase mode" (Take note using vase mode with a thinner wall may lead to more wobbles in the print that may lead to uneven surfaces)
  • When printing slow down the print by 25-50% to reduce the wobble of the lampshade during printing

Filament

  • Kexcelled Light Brown Matte PLA (Lamp Base and Frame)
  • ESUN White PLA+ (Lamp Shade)

Filament and non 3D printed items for this model can be found on my Amazon Storefront, linked here: https://linktr.ee/xunodesign

Hello,i try printing this amazing piece, but the shader wouldnt fit in, maybe the scale isnt right?

Hi! Is it just barely not fitting? Could be a combination of different filament and over extrusions that cause the lamp shade to not fit. The easiest fix I see is just scaling the shade down slightly within the slicer (maybe 98%-99%) as opposed to using the 100% scale which should give it enough clearance!

Will it fit on my Bambu A1? THanks

Yep it should fit since the A1 build plate is the same size as my P1P if I am correct

Too big for a 22 cm plate :(, I have to reduce by 85% of the normal size.

Ah yeah my bad dude! I shouldve indicated in the description the sizing and printer I use. Hope the print still works good for you though at the smaller size!

Hi,

First of all Also congrats the lamp looks fantastic. I’m having some trouble printing the lampshade and I was hoping to get some advice.

I’ve already tried printing it twice, changing various settings (bed temperature, cooling, print speed, brim, etc.), but the result is always the same: the walls come out slightly deformed. I’m printing with eSUN PLA Basic on a Bambu Lab A1 Thanks
