Chinese Fire Horse
As a child, I would rush straight to my favorite Tang Dynasty horse every time our family visited the Seattle Asian Art Museum. Those vibrant Sancai porcelain horses from the Tang period captured my imagination—their proud stances, flowing lines, and contained explosive energy felt alive and full of personality. That childhood memory still drives my work today. I specialize in stylized equine art, creating expressive, non-realistic horses that blend cultural folklore, history, and bold sculptural form. In celebration of the 2026 Zodiac Year of the Fire Horse, I channeled that lifelong passion into this dynamic 3D horse sculpture. Merging traditional Chinese symbolism with modern digital design, the piece reinterprets the spirited energy of those museum horses I loved as a kid—bringing their timeless beauty and inner fire into our physical world in a fresh, contemporary way.
