Candy Skull Candy Storage for Halloween
Hey, this Skull holds your candy! It's a variation of the Layer Shift. I came up with the mechanism myself but found out I'm not the first on this one. I got a little bit of help from Henry Segerman. The Skull was sculpted by Kekreations I bought the rights to it from her.
You need: 9 Connectors 3 Hearts 1 Long Connector 1 Bottom 1 2nd Layer 1 3rd Layer 1 Top The Tool is optional but helps. There are also “All” presupported and unsupported. They have everything you need for a full assembly.
Print Settings: Standard settings but this model needs supports. I provided unsupported and presupported files. If you are using the presupported stls they need to be disconnected before printing. Otherwise the slicer assumes bot parts should be the same object and merges them. The 3mf is already disconnected. Presupported works better if you get it to work.
Assembly: I made an Assembly Video: https://youtu.be/-zD96hW35og I also made an Assembly PDF that's is included in the download. It can also be found here: https://than.gs/pr/251065
Technical Data: One layer shift Takes around 500g of Filament and 17h to print.

When I removed the large presupport from the mouth area of the bottom layer, it's not a smooth bottom. The beveled stops and infill goes under the bevel area leaving it unfinished. All other parts came out fine.
There seems to be a sizing issue with connectors and the hearts and the gear wheels. Either the connectors are too big of the or the connectors and gear wheels are too small. Unless i've missed something.
Yes! Thank you for your comment. I just fixed that.
