Auxetic Chess Print in Place by Ruven Bals
Hey, Auxetic Chess is a chess set that can transform to play a new chess variation. The whole board is Print in Place and you can store the pieces inside the board. More information in this Video: https://youtu.be/pLWsg2_iE9A

There are 2 versions. A magnetic version that I recommend and a nonmagnetic version. You will need to buy 96 5x3mm magnets. Like these, but you don't have to buy these exact ones as long as the dimensions are the same.
You need: A board. Either the magnetic version or the nonmagnetic version. Pieces in both colors: 16 Pawns 4 Rooks 4 Bishops 4 Knights 2 Kings 2 Queens 6 Screws They are used to close the board.
Print Settings: Everything prints with standard settings, no Supports.
Assembly: There is no assembly. The board is print in place.
Technical Data: One board takes roughly 550g of filament. You will need a print area of 236 by 236 mm plus a purge tower. Perfect Bambu Size.

anyway to print on a non multifiliment printer?
I just added a version that makes this possibile. Paus the print at the top layers and change the filament to black. The printer is the going to print the last squaresin black.
Needs the X1C or newer. P1S is too small :(
Gonna see how a 95% scale works, but not sure what magents I will need
I printed these on my A1? 5x3mm magnets 5 is the Diameter and 3 the height.
Oh, the more expensive printers have extrusion lines that make the build area smaller. I'll see if I can fix that.
Actually I think it's the print exclusion area that it uses for cutting ops
I thought the purge tower was the problem
this is kind of insane that it will print on a1 but not the p1s
I just fixed that. The board is a tiny bit smaller, and the default profile is not an X1C.
I really appreciate it!
And my comment about it being able to print on the A1 and not P1 was a jab at Bambu, not you I hope you know
How will this do with size adjustment? I have a Flashforge AD5X and it's too big for the way the board is currently sized. I want to make this for my chess club, but I need to know how it will do with size adjustments.
Or, alternatively, can you separate the board into four smaller chunks so that it will fit better in smaller printers?
Hmm, I'll think about how to do that.
Thank you! Like I said, I run a chess club at my school, and some of them are getting 'too good' to play the others. I think this will give them a great adjustment.
It might take a little while, though. It's going to be an update. I'll write you.
