Wall Mounted Storage Bins
A modular storage system for hardware and small parts that mounts to your wall! Each bin can swivel and includes an optional insert that can be removed if needed.
Assembly (also shown in video):
- Slide the bins onto the rod
- Sandwich everything together using the top and bottom wall brackets
- Insert the keyhole marker into the keyhole slots
- Firmly press against wall in desired location and the keyhole markers will make an indent where you need to drill
- Drill holes using a 3/16" drill bit
- Insert wall anchors and screws (#8 - #10 x 1" screws and anchors)
- Make sure the screw head is sticking out just far enough to tightly fir the wall bracket. If it's too loose, tighten the screw incrementally until it's a tight fit.
- Attach whole assembly to the wall
There are 5 different rod sizes. The largest fits 7 large bins or 14 small ones. The smallest rod fits 3 bins or 6 small ones. The small bins are half the height of the large bins. So if you're using the rod for 3 bins and you want to use some small bins, you could use 2 smalls and 2 larges.
There are two variations of inserts for each size bins, a full insert and an insert that's split up into quarters. Let me know if you'd like other bins made for specific things like SD cards etc.!
Supports None needed!
Scaling I wouldn't recommend scaling this one since the screw holes are designed specifically for #8 - #10 x 1" anchors and screws.
Orientation Everything prints with its flattest side on the build plate.
Print Settings .2mm layer height 15% grid infill 2 walls

can you make another dowl with a male and female ends to make a larger rail would really like to make one go from top of all to bottom? pleeaseee I'm from Brazillll
Working on this!
Some simple spacers (height of a small bin and large bin) would be helpful, too. For items that are taller than the height of a bin. Or if you like to see what is in a bin without swivel them. I like to use it in the kitchen for spices.
Great idea! Just added some spacers to the files (Spacer Large & Spacer Small)
I create a 60mm and 30mm spacers, too. Looks like the 30mm might be the most useful ones. And you can scale a 60mm spacer on the slicer, too.
Oh this is super cool and will nicely complement my Rail planters.
I wonder if you'd consider square/rectangle bins that would fit Gridfinity baseplates.
Yeah! Had a bunch of requests for this. I'll work on this this week!
Hey! Any progress on that request? Square bins would be great even without gridfinity :) Thank you
Will these fit on The Rail v2? edit: wait yes, there's a separate thing for that - https://thangs.com/designer/LoftedGoods/3d-model/The%20Rail%20-%20Storage%20Bins-1416144
I would love an insert for SD Cards
Do you have a version of the shelves that have a setting screw? Thinking about using this with v1 of the rail system.
Amigo, seria possÃvel criar um cabo destes modelos para uma impressora A1mini? tentei fazer adaptar mas nao tem dado certo
