Alien Book Nook / Multi Parts
My famous Alien now available as a book nook! It will look amazing and very creepy on your shelves, looking at you in the dark while trying to get out...
A very fun model to print, and it's separated into different parts, so anybody with a 3d printed can enjoy this model in full color.
The Alien head, eyes and the book prints all separately. You will need to glue the eyes to the head, but it's not necessary to glue the head to the book, as it fits snugly.

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:
-For personal use only
-It needs some supports. I recommend tree supports under all the fingers and under the lip where the head sits on the book as per pictures.
-2 Walls and 5-8% rectilinear infill, and 0.12-0.2mm layer height. I recommend using variable layer height to speed up the print but have a good quality on the forehead.

I would love more of the book boxes as well. I am a high school librarian and love printing those.
Thanks, will do!
I LOVE this. Any interest in designing more of these for different book genres? I am a middle school librarian and my students would love to find these throughout the library. Email me if interested. tanyaa187@gmail.com
sure I would love to make more :) I will email you
Need to change your supports settings, cant take them off around the fingers and one of the fingers snapt already and also on the side of the head the supports took a piece of the head with them, lovely job after 8-9 hours of printing
Maybe it was your filament? Mine came out super easy and didn't leave any marks, I always use those settings 👌
definitely not, i print with the same filament all the time and the key is to set your top Z distance and support object xy distance. I set mine at 0.4 and they fall off by the room breeze. Yours were fuzed the top of the fingers was part of the supports, cnt tell where the support starts
what printer did you use?
Well I always use this profile and it works fine for me and my subscribers, idk what to tell you sorry
