Dust-Free Dragon Tree - Advanced
A Duster on your Table Imagine having a plant that you can rip out of its pot to use as a brush to clean up messes. Well that's the Dust-Free Dragon Tree! Use the pot as a trash bin. The saucer can be used as a dustpan to help scoop up dirt and messes.
This is one of the most functional models i've made, and one that i'm going to be using all the time to clean up around my printers.
Brush The roots of the tree double as a brush. They are printed using bridging and you remove them with a knife! The bristles feel just like a real brush
Trash can and Dustpan Pot? A trash can. The saucer? That's a dustpan! Dump your dirt into the pot and use it for trash. The dirt acts as a lid!
Duster You can use the fronds as a duster for clearing cobwebs off your ceiling! The fronds are the perfect shape for knocking down those old spiderwebs.
Can't reach? The trunk extends! A collapsing trunk is included if you cant reach your ceiling, or dont want to bend over for messes on the floor.
For print settings, open the 3mf file, and you will see all the settings, and orientation i recommend for printing!

How do you get the brush to print nicely? By default the model lays flat but it requires supports and that ruins the print and makes it shaggy. Do I stand it up (increases print time from 4 hours to 12)? I am printing on a flashforge ad5x.
The brush can be tricky. You need really good bridge settings for the brush itself. you can try increasing your bridge flow and cooling settings to get it flowing right.
Do you think a PLA Matte will work fine for the wood or would it be too fragile for the extendable function?
Hi, Matte filaments are naturally more brittle than basic PLA but that being said, it should print this model just fine. If you are worried about it breaking I would suggest drying the filament prior to printing.
