This download includes windows and doors. See print and assembly details below and in this video.
These models are scaled at 1:50. Files can be scaled in your slicer to print at whatever scale you need. Simply take 50 and divide by your target scale to get the factor to use in your slicer. For example, if you want to print models at 1:100 scale divide 50 by 100 to get .5. Scale your models in the slicer by a factor of .5
Remember that as you scale the print down, the fit between pieces will become tighter. You can offset this by reducing your flow rate a bit.
Assembly:
This section describes specific consideration for printing the pieces included in this download. You can also view printing and assembly instructions here.
The pieces will hold together on their own, use glue if you need a more permanent assembly.
Windows:
Select and print a “Window Wall” piece depending on the length of wall you need. Print as oriented with infill and supports. Once printed, the wall can be oriented either way as you are building depending on how high you want the window to be.
If you need just a basic window, print the “Basic Window Frame” and insert into the wall.
For a window with curtains, start by printing two “Window Side Frames”, one “Window Center Frame” and one “Curtain Rod”. Insert the side frames into the sides of the window cutout with the curtain rod holders oriented upwards and press the “Window Center Frame” in between them. Insert the curtain rod into the holders.
Select the type of curtains you want and print in “spiralized” or “vase” mode to achieve the smoothest finish. Snap the curtains onto the curtain rod.
Doors:
Decide if you want a single or double door. Select and print the appropriate wall depending on the length of wall you need. Print as oriented with infill and supports.
Print the type of door frame you need and the appropriate number of doors.
Snap the doors into the frame first, then insert the frame into the wall.
