Mini Flashlightsaber with Lens
I was really impressed with these little single LED lights(aff.) I found on amazon. They are even better paired with these lenses for a more focused light. I modified my mini collapsing lightsaber to make a mini Flashlightsaber. They are very bright and only cost around $1 in material to make.
It all press fits together without glue. Turning the emitter shield one turn will cause the light to turn on/off. Caution, if you turn it too much it will sperate and allow the battery/led to fall out. It can also still turn on while its being shipped or while its moving around so I made a slot in the hilt to re-insert the battery insulator.
The STL's are split for multi-color printing without supports but you can also join the files and print with one color or do manual filament swaps at layer heights for more color. There are different STL's for the emitter depending on if you are using a lens.

Definitely going to be printing this for my boys! Also, two other ideas that you might be able to make into reality. 1) I wonder if one of those mini, multi-LED flashlights could be incorporated into a light saber. Or maybe even just taking the guts of one out and using it. 2) Also, Anycubic has a light saber light kit that seems like it could be a good base for a design. https://store.anycubic.com/products/led-kit-for-light-up-saber Keep it up!
Oh interesting, I did not know they offered that. I found it hard to light up a collapsing lightsaber. To light a blade, these lights need a lens. If I can find a lens that works, I'll make it happen.
The anycubid one works surprisingly well. Also, how do you join these files together into one. I'm finding it hard to line them up correctly.
You just drag or open the stls together at the same time, it automatically lines them up.
